OK Joe, I'll bite. I guess the balance rail or front rail were not correctly positioned. The front pin was digging in the wood of the key on full dip. By looking at the keybushing, you found out the front pins were too far toward the balance pins. You only had to move the front rail a bit to make the problem go away. Just my guess.
