Dave,
I've had pianos like this in the past. One in particular comes to
mind that was parked in front of a window with afternoon exposure. It got
cooked in the afternoon and sounded awful but by morning it was fine again.
Took me a few visits to figure it out. The last visit was .... you guessed
it .... in the afternoon.
