Wood action brackets/Terry

You may well not ever find the original dimensions, but what will need to be done is to determine what dimensions will make the action work well. If you ever get to do it, let's hear about it! If you ever do make brackets out of wood, I would highly recommend making them of several laminations for stability.

I mentioned to Dale Erwin about the discontinued action brackets and the first thing he said was, "why don't you make them out of wood?" aaaaaa,grin.
Ok, good idea Terry. I'm still faced with the problem of finding the original dimensions and it probably won't happen until she wants new shanks and hammers. Right now she is more concerned with the voicing on a couple of notes than the shallow dip and long blow which, in my opinion, gives the action a spongy feel. The result of the whippen having to come forward a mm or 2.
