Still filling my new-tuner brain with trivia that needs answering because of customer questions. I've been told all you need to do is buy the piano and you then have the warranty. One of my customers said her salesperson said she needed to have it tuned once a year to maintain the warranty (guess it's like an oil change). Also can she hire any tuner? I think I know the answers to these questions but would like to her from y'all pros out there. TNX, Wayne...Sacramento _______________________________________________ Wayne, The salespersons suggestion for regular tunings is good advice on principal, but I've presented warrantee related issues to almost all of our manufacturers and tuning history (or lack thereof) has never been used as criteria for authorization. As for her choice of technician, any Guild member or really any qualified non member (unless gross negligence occurred --Example : WD-40 on the tuning pins to keep the rust away) would be acceptable to the manufacturer. IMHO ,If a qualified technician were to find a warrantee related problem with this piano, contact the manufacturers tech.Rep., and present a reasonably priced solution to correct the problem the warrantee will take care of her.
