I agree with Terry. These cheap repairs sometimes work and sometimes they don't. Since most of the brass rail pianos I work on aren't worth the expense of doing it right, I suggest replacing the piano and invite them to get a second opinion. If someone else wants to try repairing these, they are welcome.
