The fix is far better than "temporary," in mine 'umble opinion. It also is fairly quick, works when you don't have an extra oversized pin, or when you don't want a bright chrome sore thumb sticking out in a sea of blued (or rusted) pins, especially in a grand where they are visible. A more interesting question, from the original post, is why didn't the epoxy work for him? I guess he just swabbed with it instead of fill 'n drill. Alan R.
