Installed a set of Miricle Whippens from Pianotek into a Hamburg SS-D about a year ago. Since then I had to repin the entire set as all center pins tightened up. The bigger problem is that the repetition spring has worn a groove in the repetition lever and tends to squeek as it is confined to move within this newly created smaller slot/space that has been created. It appears that the wood used for the rep levers must have been softer than normal? I have not seen this before. (Springs were polished and slots were clean) Thinking about a cure - could there be a way of securing a small piece of tefflon in the slot or??? Looking for anyone that has used Miricle Whips and or had similar experience. I will be talking to Pianotek and bringing a sample at Dallas as a replacement set may be in order - only if I do not need to repeat any of the above. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
