I left a pair of needle nose Vice Grips on the hitch pin of an old
upright after a string repair.(The husband asked why I didn't
"guarantee" my tunings )Bad piano in a basement sewing room .The piano
is on the outside of my service area and I thought I'd wait for the next
call to retrieve them. 

As I recall that was around 1992 ---Oh well.
