Well, Dave, not to beleaguer the point, but the piece that I had in =
mind was the 13th improvisation by Francis Poulenc, written in 1958. I =
don't think you'd find too many pieces written before 1850 that used it, =
because it probably couldn't be expected to exist on all pianos. Most =
people using A0 are new age types who like to finish with sweeping =
arpeggios.

No, not off hand, but I don't claim to be an expert on the whole range =
of literature. I would guess that the note is seldom written in =
pre-twentieth century music, but would appear more frequently in =
contemporary compositions. I'd still fix it. =20
