Dear colleagues, A friend of mine is about to repair a little spinet Steinway, that came with the G.I's in 1942, it belongs to a museum . We are looking for any information, action sketch, tricks, kind of parts available, and such to put the little thing in good condition (new hammers, springs, many things I guess but I did not see the instrument myself yet). The piano is # W1747 - Mod : 1098 - Prototype studio 45 - Build in 1942 à New-York by Steinway. Following are 2 pictures so you can see. No more comment at this day, thanks in advance for your help. P.S. Do you believe that the factory could help , does anyone know whom to ask ? Greetings Isaac OLEG Entretien et réparation de pianos.
