Splice a new 7/32" shank to the old one with a long scarf joint, trim =
to=20
length, press the old shank end out of the hammer, fit and glue hammer =
to=20
new shank, trim shank to length, make resolution to not break old =
obsolete=20
parts ever again, remember the fix for the next time you break an old=20
obsolete part.

But usually grand shanks are larger than 7/32", so the hole in the =
hammer head will be too big. Maybe you can splice part of another grand =
shank onto it, or plug and redrill (smaller) the hole in the hammer =
moulding and use Ron's suggestion. Is the fork part of the shank large =
enough to drill into and install another cut-off shank? (Won't match =
the others, but might work).
