This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Seems like Ron N. covered all pretty well. I don't work on players much = at all (I try and avoid it like the plague), but I did one of these a = couple years ago - replacing a vacuum cleaner rig with a replacement = player vacuum pump. I did warn the lady 1,000 times about not knowing if = the unit will produce enough vacuum and that I had never done that job = before. All ended well - the player functioned surprisingly well (WAY = quieter than the vacuum cleaner!). 'Course now the problem was all the = noise the action made - you couldn't hear the clackity action with the = old vacuum cleaner going! I remember I had to make a run to the hardware = store to jury rig an adapter to make some hoses go together - but that = was the only challenging part. Remember to charge her/him a lot (I did it by the hour with no time = specification) and make no promises (other than to do the best you can)! Yikes! Some unknown "genius" installed this Electrolux, = oblivious to the fact that when it is running you can hardly hear the = piano! I also suspect that a vacuum cleaner does not create the proper = level of vacuum, and may be overworking the system. In any event, the = client wants me to look over the piano and possibly install the correct = motor, the one that Schaff sells. I would appreciate any pointers on = this job - the kit comes with installation directions, of course, but it = would be nice to know of any potential difficulties in advance. Also, = what about the automatic reroll unit? Do you usually install both = together?=20 Thanks,=20 Patrick C.
