Hello Dale. I use the Verituner and previously used an SAT 3. Yes the =
Verituner is larger than the SAT 3 - about the same footprint as the SAT =
2 if my memory serves me correctly - a bit heavier though. While smaller =
is always an advantage, I do not find the size of the VT to ever be a =
problem. Like the Steinway tech told me about the dinging noise in my =
new Steinway - "you just get used to it".

I have never had any trouble easily seeing the display on the VT. You =
can get a reflection sometimes if you are sitting opposite a bright =
window, but you just angle the VT a little and the problem goes away. I =
find it to be no trouble.

IMHO, if you like listening to your octaves and manually setting your =
stretch in the various areas of the scale each time you tune a piano - =
the little powerhouse SAT 3 is hard to beat - it is so simple and a pure =
pleasure to use. If you like to just shift into autopilot (but of =
course, still have complete control over stretch settings, etc.) and =
produce fantabulous tuning time after time on any piano, go with the VT. =
And of course the VT has all sort of other bells and whistles.

I was in love with my SAT 3, but I'm also in love with my VT and I feel =
like we are still on the honeymoon after almost two years now!

           List

Having just sold my acutuner 2 for , yes $599.00, I'm looking at =
finding out if it's worth buying a used Sat-3 or or just getting a new =
one. I willl test drive the verituner but I'm not keen on the size & =
I've heard the display is difficult to read..
