I agree with Allan's message.  I've tuned aurally for 26 years; bought an
ETD at the Dallas Convention.  It is not used exclusively, it supplements my
work.  To me there is a real sense of fulfillment upon completing an aural
tuning on a fine piano.  Sometimes the challange is to aurally render a good
tuning on a PSO.  The ETD reinforces what's been practiced over the years
and comes into use when "bulk" tunings are necessary at a store or
institution.  It's another very good tool to use.
