I am practicing Jim Coleman's A - A temperament tuning 4ths and 5ths ,
testing with 3rds and 6ths.Not sure if anyone is familiar with this
particular temperament but I'm having trouble fitting in E44. It is
tuned off of A49 as a 4th. After I tune it I have to rearrange it to
fit it in a smooth progression of thirds. This makes the E44 - A49
(4th) really busy. When I check the E with a ETD it is 5-7 cents flat.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Another question..is this
temperament ET (which I assume means a smooth progression of thirds from
A3 to A4) and is this a good temperament for a beginner to learn his
aural skills at as opposed to tuning with 3rds and 6ths)

 Thanks,Jim Morrison
