Don,

That sounded so much like the Blue Book that I looked it up in my hard copy,
and yep, there it was.  I didn't know it was on line.  I suspect it all comes
out of advertising of those times.

My brother owns a 1949 Haddorff console which he bought used about 20 years
ago.  Interesting case, almost perfect ivories (not plastic), but I find that
the tone isn't special.  I think that's the only Haddorff I ever saw -- maybe
one other.
