Yes - this two-screwed damper flange is quite novel - though very old. =
Similar in concept to Bechstein floating touch block in their old =
grands. One of my schools has a Richard Lipp (Nr.28370 =3D November 1908 =
) upright with the damper adjustment identical to your excellent photo. =
The action of that piano is in a very sorry state and the school, being =
a State School, has no money available to have the piano overhauled. =
Only tuned once a year it was in a remarkable state of tuning this time =
round. But the kids have yanked a hammer head off and kicked in the =
knee-board as well as removing most of the ivory heads. Yuk!
