I use a 50/50 sollution of Denatured alcohol and water.(good old fashioned hardware stores sell denatured alcohol)I put the mixture in a medium hypo-oiler squirt bottle.I then dribble the solution on the flanges(still in the piano,or at least assembled on the action frame out of the piano)I give a real good soaking if the flanges are really tight, and less if they are not so tight. After that I wait till the next day and check the results, reaming and repinning where needed.Rarely do I find that flanges get too loose.Sometimes I do find several that are still tight and need to be reamed.
