If you have the time you can take all the action parts
and put them in a big metal can full of lacquer
thinner and slosh them around and let them soak for a
few days to dissolve the verdigris out ( yes, it will
dissolve ).
And then let dry and reassemble.
But by then you might as well rebuild the thing.
