Who knows? I was simply suggesting that if the owner perceived it to be a problem, s/he could fix it with epoxy. I guess that also suggests that perhaps it is not a problem - as long as it doesn't buzz, or there is not vertical movement. I would be surprised to see pitch effects, maybe something more like soundboard busting off the rim if there was significant movement of the two rims relative to one another.
