Hi Phil:
Spread a light coating of any cooking oil on the residue overnite, it
will wipe off the next morning. Speaking from experience, we used this
method on a child's wooden bed headboard on which every inch was covered
with decals and taped pictures. All came off without a scratch. A hint
from Heloise.....
