glue joint.
As you probably know STWY has an extravagant set up to fit the top of the
block to the plate flange which us lowly underlings can't afford.

By the way the last time did this job I built a tapered ramp for my
laminate trimmer to ride on & cut the angle neede the pin block glue joint so it
required no shim.
