This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Hi William, I just coat the keytop, I use the ones with the front, and wiggle the keytop, pushing it back and centring. Every, octave, I go back and check for proper placement. I check for any glue marks, wiping them with Windex. I leave them about an hour, then go back and sand, using a belt sander (2"). I then file by hand, to get the notch, and round the edges. I then buff, any that might have a surface scratch, or whatever. When I remove them from the piano, I wrap them in groups of 13, doing the same when they are finished. That way they are in order for reinstallation. Regards, John M. Am I going overboard clamping new keytops with this stuff? Thanks, William R. You don't need to clamp, and cleans up with water. John M. Plus if you do it this way IMO you can save most of the ivories especially the good ones and if need be you get some good replacement ones for another job. What glue do you use to stick the new the new ones on with?? Steve. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
