best way to get plastic keytops off?

To all who offered their techniques for this simple operation,

I'm not familiar with these talk show icons, but from what I gather, they put 
out enough hot air that any other tool would have been unnecessary.

But since the job had to be performed in the customer's home(no radio), and 
it was only one key, the heat gun worked quite well.  It makes a pretty good 
hair dryer, too.  In fact, I don't have to worry about hair at all any more.  Or 
eyebrows either, for that matter....
