Regulating A Square Grand

I googled square grand action and one site you might want to check out is http://www2.netdoor.com/~rlang/knabe/knabe.htm     
It's been a long time since I worked on one but for some reason I remember drilling holes in the rail above the screws for adjustment?   Not sure about that though...
