 From Consumer Reports:

Skil 3400 table saw. 120,000 table saws have been recalled due to a loose
blade-drive mechanism that could allow the item being sawed to kick back
into the user's face. Also, the motor can come off, which could strike the
user, or pose the risk of electric shock.

Products:
The products affected: 120,000 table saws, which accommodate 10-inch blade
and have a red plastic base, sold from July 2002 through October 2004 at
Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards stores, and independent hardware retailers for
$150 to $200. The model number is printed on the front of the table base.
Suspect units bear the following date codes (printed on the upper right
corner of the table base): 2002 date codes 28501-28831, 2003 codes
38101-39231, and 2004 codes 48101-48811. There have been 11 reports of
broken or loose motors, but no injuries or property damage, according to
the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
