According to the radio program I heard, the developers just wanted to 
license the technology.  But no one was interested, because if they had one 
model with it, all their other models would look incredibly hazardous in 
comparison.

Ron, why wouldn't professional woodworkers like it?  What are the downsides, 
besides the initial expense?  (Assuming you don't trigger the safety device 
a few times a day...)
