Hi John, Wow! I must say I was very impressed with the sound. The acoustics (from the room) were obviously very lively in the recording on the web site (confirmed by photos of the room), which I suspect compliments the piano design quite well. Of course it's difficult to separate the room acoustics from the piano's acoustics from where I'm sitting (and using the sound system of this laptop computer). To my ears (again through a laptop computer), the sound has a slightly "un-piano-like" quality in its inclusion of a rich upper harmonic structure, characteristic more of the modern piano's recent ancestors. Then again, I don't know that much about historical keyboard instruments. Absolutely mesmerizing sound, though! Cool! :-) Peace, Sarah ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Ross" <jrpiano@win.eastlink.ca> To: "Pianotech" <pianotech@ptg.org> Sent: Sunday, February 08, 2004 9:48 PM Subject: Worlds Largest Piano > Hi List, > I can't remember if this was on the list before.
