Before marks are deducted a note must deviate
from the master tuning beyond prescribed tolerances.
In the Temperament, unison's, midrange & stability
you have a .9 cent tolerance before any points are
deducted. Treble 1.9 cents, bass 2.9 cents, and low
bass and high treble 5.9 cents.
The 12 cent window(6 cents each way) at the ext ream
ends gives room for stretch interpretation.
Point deductions are verified aurally. If the team
without the numbers can not agree on pure aural
testing the deduction could be thrown out.
What you are doing with tunelab is a great
way to test yourself. Go for it. The very best way
to learn the test format is to experience it.
