Avery, MS Word is not as "standard" as you think it is. There is MS Word 6.0; MS Word for 95; MS Word for 97/2000/XP and each one is lightly different in format. I'm using OpenOffice (www.openoffice.org) and it allows you to save an MS Word document in each one of these formats. And, for that matter, Outlook Express 6.0 may not be able to read all of these formats. Duaine P.S. That is why OpenOffice is trying to standardize on XML format to make documents more compatible with other products.
