There is a way of making the tongue any length you want. A trick that Randy
Potter came up with many years ago. It's the same principal as the
"adjustable stickers". Cut the tongue in half. Bore out each part to accept
a standard piece of hammer shank. Glue back together @ the length you need.
TA DA!<G> I've done a whole set or two this way. Makes for a fairly neat
looking job, IMO. Of course, you need to "assembly line" the system so that
you get consistency. Easy enough to do.
