This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment List, I tuned a 5'1" Kawaii recently (GE1A on the plate, but has a duplex = scale, so perhaps is a GE1AS?), about 5 years old, that has a buzz in F2 = (a bichord). Pressing down hard on the strings between the agraffe and = the tuning pin reduces it almost completely. The felt under the strings = in this area seems to be in good condition, as does the entire piano. = The agraffe seems solid, and pressing on the bridge pins has no effect = on the buzz. The ambient humidity was too low to measure (under 20%). = A brief inspection of the soundboard revealed no loose items. If there's just insufficient pressure from the felt on this waste string = length, what's the right fix? To simply lower the tension, and wedge a = small piece of felt underneath? Is this perhaps a sign that the entire = strip of felt should be replaced?
