Hi Folks, Tuned a yamaha ga-1 yesterday, customer said the fallboard had become dislodged when kids were closing it. It seems the hinges had too much space between them and kept slipping out of the slot. I put some felt under both hinges and all was fine. When I was trying to extracate the fallboard from the piano( it was fitting very tightly) a piece of the finish chipped off next to the hinge. Woman called back the next day to give me the news. I have agreed to make a polyester repair at my expense. Should I be charging her something? I already suggested a climate control system 6 mos. ago with no luck. Thanks, Rick Ucci/Ucci Piano
