Walnut veneer question solved?

   I ran a  search on "wood veneer sample photos", and
found the "rare woods sample library", 
( or something like that ) which has a picture of
"butt walnut" veneer. This looks most like it, and I
do presume that "butt" means the base of the tree, by
the roots.
