Recently I have ordered a few sets from Arledge (www.pianostrings.com). I
absolutely love them and highly recommend them. They are a little pricier
than Mapes, but not much, and well worth it.

Call them if you can't go online and they'll send you a kit for taking
measurements.

Subject: piano supply suggestions

Hi,

Does anyone have places they can recommend for piano supplies? I
recently received the catalogue from Schaff and noticed some things are
missing that used to be available from APSCO.

I'm particularly interested in finding a good source for fine quality
strings (particularly bass).

Thanks.

- John
