They'd fill it with pianoids, and cook them at varying temperatures and humidities for a period of time. The theory was that, since the pianoids dropped a half semitone in pitch during the process, they would be pre-aged and more stable after delivery. Maybe they were. Since new Kimballs tended to go out of tune faster and farther than anything else on the planet, even after Mezzo Thermoneal Stabilization, I can't help but wonder what they were like before treatment.
