Dear Heather,

Just for the record with no offense intended, the response at the
Yamaha site doesn't actually say "they had no such number". It says,

Serial Number 1210637 does NOT appear to be built for the North
American market.

The Pierce Piano Atlas, 10th Edition, does date the piano in 1971.

Sincerely,

Keith
