I don't think who is important and I would rather steer clear of that - don't want to put words in other people's mouths. But why do folks look for a right or a wrong in piano belly designs? Aren't many piano designs largely based on "we do it this way and we are happy with the results"? If someone specifies zero downbearing for their design because they find they get good results, what would be wrong with that? If someone specified six inches of downbearing for their design because they find they get good results, what would be wrong with that?
