I just bought a Delta 14" 28-475X for about $900.00.  Bought a mobile base for it as well and three different blade widths.  It's plenty of machine for the things you mention and a bit more.

I am in the market for a new band saw and would like some opinions
I will be cutting pinblocks and bridges and would like to know which band saw would be sufficient. I want to know what size motor, blade, brand and minimum requirements.
