I wouldn't fret too much over your piano. Your grand should have some =
potential. The results from a good round of tone building, action =
regulating and tuning just might surprise you and get you in the =
ballpark of the teacher's piano.  ;-)

  Of course, there's always the claim, "Our piano sounds different than =
the piano teacher's piano!"  I laugh at that now, not only because I'm a =
tech and know there can be lots of reasons for the difference in sound, =
but also because we're the ones with the Steinway grand and the teacher =
has the Yamaha console........(sort of reminds me of coming off of =
maternity leave and practicing tuning my Steinway to get ready to go out =
and tune a Kimball spinet.)
