Rick,

Organization is not really my thing, but here's my setup.

My vehicle is a 1999 Honda Accord. It has a fairly small trunk which is why
I want a nice big 4-door Ford F-150 or 250 (but that's another story and
$30K in the future <g>). Anyway, I currently am using a fishing tackle box
for small parts like damper and jack springs, vetical hammer butts, etc. The
box can be opened on either side for access - it's about 20x20x7 and has
dividers which can be arranged in various configs. There are two large
yellow tool boxes from Lowes which store various tools like action
regulating, extra lever tips, action support cradle clamp thingees, spring
clamps, center pinning supplies, sandpaper, etc. Pianotek has some hard
plastic cases on page D-18 which I've just bought to organize even further
into smaller containers. For instance, one holds all my case cleaning stuff
and another damper stuff. My plan is to buy more of these to
"compartmentalize" things so I don't have to dig through a ton of things to
find that one thing I'm looking for.

Also in the trunk is a case for universal strings, one for plain wire and
stringing accessories, 2 small cases for reg. punchings, Dremel tool, drill
and bits, vacuum cleaner. several small cases for screws and rubber
nails/buttons. There's a box for retail packaged stuff like Dampp-Chaser
fluid and cleaning kits. And, even a couple of carboard boxes to hold things
I just haven't yet found a great place for yet.

Hope this gives you some ideas to get started. You have a lot more space to
store than I, so you might not have to be as creative about getting
everything arranged to fit.

If I make it to Nashville, I can show it to you if you're interested. It
ain't nothing pretty or fancy, but it works OK.

Ok, so I've decided to delay purchasing the trailer (mini-shop) at least
for the present time. Now I would like to begin thinking about organizing
my Pontiac Vibe (mini-suv w/4.5' x 5' feet of flat fold down space in back)
for efficient work and parts access. If anyone knows of a good resource for
storage bins and tool boxes that can be easily secured in such a vehicle, or
any other good ideas for vehicle organization, please let me know.
