I have a very hilly area for my territory, and drive a gas guzzling Jeep =
Grand Cherokee . . never get stuck, and it tows my pianomoving trailer =
just fine. Tried a Matrix . . drives just fine but an action won't go =
accross the back seat, nor will my Roland keyboard, which lives in the =
back. Wondered about the Escape, but too light for towing . .=20

I wish better roads were available for bicycles. I'd ride my bike to =
most of my appointments. If most folks did that it would put a good dent =
in our grotesque rate of fossil fuel consumption and dependency on =
foreign oil, and help big time with obesity. Too bad our transportation =
systems and social attitudes are so screwed up in this country.

I have been driving the Toyota Matrix for a year and a half and am =
very satisfied with the loading capacity and the mileage. Go for a test =
drive, you'll be surprised. I used to have VW Golf diesel, but then =
their prices went up so much that it would take me years to save enough =
on gaz to justify the price difference between the Matrix and the Golf.

Hi All
The info on this Ford hybrids gas mileage, I heard ,was probaly =
more like 30mpgs average. Whatever average is.
I do know that my daughters Prius gets a legitimate 45 city and =
over 50 on the road. If I wasn't 6 ft. 4 I'd be driven one. As it is I'm =
stuck in the 83 Porsche coupe. Shucks ,Hey don't snicker. I can get =
(squeeze) a grand action in the front seat & all my tools in the trunk. =
17 city 21 hiway. Could be worse. grin.
