I've been double drilling block since this first appeared on the list
about awhile ago. It really does make a difference in terms of even and
controlled torque on the pins (assuming the pins are equal in
diameter-not always the case!) and takes away that stress of controlling
feed speed. Plus, since the final bit takes out so little material,
they last longer.
