If phishing expeditions weren't enough, even with encryption, with 
wireless/satellite you are literally broadcasting all your personal 
information to anyone within range who might want to listen in.

...and, no, I'm not getting a cell phone yet.  There's a whole lot of area 
around here which is dead.  Even in town, reception is very uneven.  If I 
had to depend on it in an emergency, I'd better hope I'm in town. (i.e. not 
more than 3 miles from home)
