The lower end of the tenor and the entire transition bridge lie upon a =
common base or foundation. The base is contoured to mate to the =
soundboard, just like the bottom of the long bridge. There is no =
cantilever at all. Below is a picture of the bridges in the piano =
installed on my new clear soundboard.

  That board looks very nice. What is the tenor bridge sitting on? From =
this angle it looks like a reversed cantilever.
