Too cynical.

Not to worry. The federal state god will confiscate (steal) enough money
from all of us to get things going again for people stupid enough to
live below sea level. It is too good an opportunity to look good and buy
votes with other people's money.

To make matters worse, those pumps need electricity to work. Right now,
New
Orleans is without that commodity. After the levees are patched, it
will
still be some time before they are all pumping. Even when working
properly, I hear that they only can handle about a foot a day. The math
is
not encouraging.

I fear that pianos and those who care for and about them are in for a
long,
hard time.
