Hi Susan,
Simple methods are only apparent once discovered. :-)
In my inventory of seldom used equipment are a Vigor arc welding =
machine,and a Rey electroplating machine,used in jewelry =
cleaning, plating, and repair. I use the Rey to electro clean metal =
parts, and the Vigor to attempt to salvage unavailable metal parts. This =
with a cheap steam travel iron that I have 'modified' has saved my =
day, more than once. I got them when the Optician I was working for (part =
time) went bankrupt and owed me money.=20
The multidisciplinary arts required in our art and craft never cease to =
amaze,and elucidate me.
Have a good 4'th
Hubert

Thanks, Hubert. These simple methods have often worked for me. Some =
finishes, of course, are way past helping, especially the sun-damaged =
ones and the very cheap ones on many spinets and consoles.=20

You are spot on, good auto rubbing compound is invaluable. There are =
several 'grits' than can be usable. Old English and carnauba wax etc.are =
elements not to be ignored. This started as "toothpaste" and we are, in =
our own way due to our desire to help, convoluting the issue. I agree =
with your advice and knowledge!
