Hello Altieri, If this piano is really from 1929 then it will not have a segmented block. Also, the block, reamed and properly handled, very likely doen't have to be replaced. As for the problem with the string you probably will find the hitch pin bending over and about to break off. This is a dangerous situation for people around the piano. I would make sure the string is down on the plate at the hitch pin. The pin may, nevertheless, be breaking even with the string down on the plate. This should be carefully checked out.
