I assumed he meant the damper lifter felt, where the spoons and the pedal rod rub. I prefer woven action cloth to unwoven felt for this, because it doesn't glaze as easily. The rotary cutter and the big green mat (with a good straightedge) can cut the cloth to size easily enough, and action cloth comes in a lot of thicknesses. What I tend to do is to cut a thin, long strip the width of the damper lever, then cut it into segments about six or eight inches long. I line them all up in a tidy square, and then lay a couple of strips of "magic" transparent Scotch tape on them. This keeps them in line while I cut the other dimension. Glue where the old glue was, of course, which is at the ends. Susan ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
