Hi Phil I think, as others have mentioned, that you are probably going to be best served by changing the knuckle position. If the shanks and hammers are new, then you might want to try your hand at simply repositioning the knuckles yourself. Its not to hard to do a fine job of that, and there have been several good proceedures for doing so discussed from time to time on this list. If you are really carefull in doing the work, you might even be able to insure a more consistant knuckle position then the origional. If you in addition supply us with relavant Balance Weight Ratio figures we could even perhaps discuss alternatives to the standard 17 mm distance being suggested. Perhaps you dont really need to go that far out in the end. Just some food for thought.. Cheers RicB .................... I have been asked to get this action to feel lighter. Right now it feels like a Mack Truck. I have not measured DW yet, but it feels like mid 60's to me. -there is only 15mil from knuckle to bushing. I measured it 3 different times getting the same result. -Hammers, shanks, knuckles, and whippens have all been replaced, but I think I'm fighting an uphill battle without replacing those shanks. Your thoughts? -Phil Bondi(Fl)
